Most things in my life I started out of curiosity. I worked as a goatherd in Israel, in agriculture in Greece, sold self-made jewelry on the streets of Venice Beach (LA) and learned about Bedouin life in Egypt.

I worked in catering while studying dance theatre as well as flirting a bit with art & photography. Then got the opportunity to work in restoring historical buildings such as Hamburg’s town hall.

By taking all these turns I found my real passion and my current profession, which I took up 20 years ago now. Exploring in real life and on my screen, feeds that need for new perspectives.

Beautiful pictures can excite me just as well as outtakes do. The surprisingly different rhythms a narrative can take on – that is what I love about my job.
